Piper Aircraft Announces Three New Turboprops

Piper Aircraft Announces Three New Turboprops

Piper Aircraft has expanded and upgraded its single-engine aircraft line with three new models that were announced in April: the Piper M350, M500, and M600. All three are based on earlier models, with the top-of-the-line M600 representing the most significant advancement.
The six-seat, single-engine turboprop M600 features an all-new wing design, cutting-edge Garmin G3000 touchscreen integrated avionics, and an updated interior with ergonomic seats. It cruises at about 300 mph and has a range of 1,495 miles. Piper says the new airplane delivers what customers wanted—a bigger payload and a longer range. The $2.82 million M600 is set to start deliveries by the end of this year.

Piper also announced an upgrade of its Meridian turboprop, now designated the M500. The cockpit is equipped with the latest version of the Garmin G1000 avionics suite and a new fully integrated digital pressurization system that enhances comfort and safety. The M500 has a range of 1,150 miles and cruises at 300 mph. It is currently available for $2.26 million.

The M350, driven by a Lycoming 350 hp engine, also seats six and features the Garmin G1000. The upgrade includes electronic stability protection, a safety feature that helps prevent inadvertent loss-of-control incidents. It flies at 245 mph and has a range of 1,545 miles, and is priced at $1.15 million.
