Piper Aircraft Announces Three New Turboprops
Piper Aircraft Announces Three New TurbopropsPiper Aircraft has expanded and upgraded its single-engine aircraft line with three new models that were announced in April: the Piper M350, M500, and M600. All three are based on earlier models, with the top-of-the-line M600 representing the most significant advancement.
The six-seat, single-engine turboprop M600 features an all-new wing design, cutting-edge Garmin G3000 touchscreen integrated avionics, and an updated interior with ergonomic seats. It cruises at about 300 mph and has a range of 1,495 miles. Piper says the new airplane delivers what customers wanted—a bigger payload and a longer range. The $2.82 million M600 is set to start deliveries by the end of this year.
The M350, driven by a Lycoming 350 hp engine, also seats six and features the Garmin G1000. The upgrade includes electronic stability protection, a safety feature that helps prevent inadvertent loss-of-control incidents. It flies at 245 mph and has a range of 1,545 miles, and is priced at $1.15 million.
