Cal-a-Vie Offers a Selection of Rare Wines from Château Margaux

The destination spa Cal-a-Vie in Vista, Calif., will pour wines from Château Margaux, a bastion of Bordeaux in the Médoc region of France, during the Château Margaux Food and Wine Experience taking place from April 19 to 22. The menu includes two nights of wine tastings and meals prepared by the executive chef Curtis Cooke. The winery will provide three flights of its Pavillon Blanc, five of the Pavillon Rouge, and four from its signature Grand Vin.

Included in the latter will be the 1985 vintage, which has a nose described as astonishingly fruity, with round and silky tannins for the palate and great concentration at the finish. Also available to sample with the $4,395 package will be six therapeutic spa treatments, nutritional instruction, fitness classes, and access to 7 miles of hiking trails.
